Human Interest release EP lead single ‘Step On’, out today (August 15th) via Nice Swan Records

East Londoners Human Interest share brooding lead track ‘Step On’, out today (August 15th), marking the first reveal from the band’s forthcoming EP set to arrive this autumn via Nice Swan Records (Sports Team, Pip Blom, English Teacher).

Teaming with the cult label for their upcoming extended release, the alt-rockers have garnered quite the reputation since releasing debut EP ‘Desire Paths’ in spring 2022. As well as ticking off supports with Self Esteem, Dave Rowntree (Blur), Hinds and Tribes, the band have earned early press acclaim from the likes of DIY, Dork and Clash, in addition to airplay on BBC 6 Music, Radio X (playlisted) and Sirius FM.

Since expanding to a four-piece with Tyler Evann (backing vocals, guitar) and Joe Michelson (drums), Human Interest have been busy forging a reputation as one of the thrilling live acts in the UK and beyond, playing alongside Vlure, Panic Shack, L’objectif and HighSchool in recent times, as well as tastemaker festivals such as Dark Arts and The Great Escape, and their first ever EU tour in France.

Detailing their single release, Harrison and Kelly revealed: “It’s about appreciating the duality of yourself and your friends as it’s what makes us human. The phrase ‘this philosophy goes away’ refers to trusting the passage of time; that thoughts and feelings are momentary, and there’s a beauty in trusting your gut and allowing your inner-self to guide the way.”

Human Interest’s ‘Step On’ is out now via Nice Swan Records and available on all digital platforms.
