Hallan share latest single ‘Reruns’ out 10th June, from upcoming debut EP

Portsmouth post-punks Hallan share bristling new effort ‘Reruns’, the latest track taken from the band’s ‘Reporting Live From The Living Room Floor’ EP set to arrive July 16th via Nice Swan Records (Pip Blom, Sports Team, FUR).

Joining forces with the cult indie label in late 2020 for their ‘Nice Swan Introduces…’ series (in partnership with RIP Records), the quartet have since found label-mates in the likes of Courting, SPRINTS, English Teacher and Mandrake Handshake, whilst firmly establishing themselves as a thrilling new fixture within the punk landscape.

With their upcoming EP already spawning acclaimed singles ‘Modern England’, ‘Hands Up’ and ‘Orwell’s Idyllic Future’, the group’s frenetic musings on the mundanity of everyday life have certainly sparked plenty of interest, with key tastemaker backing from the likes of Dork, The Forty-Five and Rough Trade, as well as BBC 6 Music playlist exposure following integral support from Steve Lamacq.

Detailing their newest effort, frontman Conor Clements explained: “I like to think that between the four of us, there’s not a thing we haven’t had a crack at during our “year of self betterment”. And thus over the last year we have become experts on the mundane. We know the things you’re meant to enjoy are not the pleasures they may seem, and we know for certain you’ll get more joy out of watching a watermelon being crushed by a hydraulic press at 30,000 frames per second (at 2AM), than you ever will sweating on an exercise bike. ‘Reruns’ embraces the mundane and we like to think the track is us finding our true calling as self-titled “preachers of mundanity”.

Having already notched up several impressive support slots with acts including Sports Team and Porridge Radio, Hallan will be celebrating the launch of their EP with a full UK headline run in the autumn, in addition to several inner-city festival slots across the country where their live prowess is certain to come to the fore.

Hallan’s Reruns’ is out June 10th via Nice Swan Records and will be available on all digital platforms.
