“Placing themselves on the frontline of the UK’s current wave of ear-shredding alternative bands”

“Phenomenal, a concrete-heavy slab of brutalist rock”

Partnering with esteemed producer Alex Greaves (Yard Act, Working Men’s Club, Gurriers) for their extended release, ahead of a debut UK headline tour this December, the band’s new EP includes lead singles ‘Aberfan’, ‘Sit Awake’ and ‘Berlin, 1885’ (& new focus track ‘Christ Alive’), and arrives following an acclaimed festival slot at Left of the Dial late last month.

Fueling a DIY ethos that birthed them, Fuzz Lightyear’s focus on sustained experimentation, community, and uninhibited rock and roll has already contributed to mammoth support throughout the press landscape (NME, DIY, Dork, Clash, So Young, The Line of Best Fit, Rough Trade, Under The Radar) and across the BBC 6 Music (Steve Lamacq, Huw Stephens, Emily Pilbeam) and Radio X (John Kennedy) airwaves in recent months.

Armed with their thrilling live shows, the band have crafted a chaotic and impressive blend of shoegaze, industrial noise-rock, and fast-paced punk.

Having been invited to tour and perform with acts like English Teacher, Adult DVD, Lambrini Girl, and Jasmine.4.T, as well as more icons of punk new and old, the quartet have earned themselves a cult following across the UK.

Detailing their EP release, frontman Ben Parry stated:

“‘Zero Guilt’ is a bit of a time capsule for us as a band. We’ve lived alongside these songs for the last 5 or so years, and since both us and the songs have grown a fair bit. These are those songs in their rawest form, the closest to inception they could’ve been. This was our last hurrah as a tried and true guitar band.”

“Born out of the wee months post-lockdown, I think the sound of the EP reflects the caution and paranoia of that whole time. As a band we were incubated together, so writing-wise we each pulled from an internal place, only looking to each other for inspiration. There are few outside influences on this record other than those our producer Alex Greaves brought to the table.”
