The single, which received its first play from Huw Stephens on BBC 6 Music, follows ‘Waxing Lyrical’, released at the end of last year.  As with the rest of the EP, ‘Wreck’ was recorded at Middle Farm Studios in Devon with Pat Pearson (Daughter, LYR, Brooke Bentham).

It arrives alongside an accompanying video, directed by Blossom with Jack Shep and with the announcement of Blossom’s first live dates for 2026; headline shows in London and Manchester, as well as two appearances at Dot 2 Dot Festival.

During the writing process, Caldarone began to notice a shift from protagonist to narrator, stepping back from situations she might once have written about as deeply personal, and instead observing and documenting them with a perspective that can only come through self-reflection. Speaking about the single, Blossom says:

“‘Wreck’ is a tantrum song; it’s the end result of months of turmoil.. Its meaning has changed for me since writing it. Upon reflection, what once felt accusatory now feels like a play-by-play of my own downfalls. It’s the epitome of projection. I’m singing ‘you don’t care’, but the truth is, I don’t think I cared.”

Live dates – May 2026

21st Theatre Ship, LONDON

22nd The Talleyrand, MANCHESTER

23rd Dot 2 Dot Festival, BRISTOL

24th Dot 2 Dot Festival, NOTTINGHAM
